Event Managers & Supervisors | Darling GroupDarling Group | Melbourne VICPart-Time & Casual OpportunitiesAbout the OpportunityDarling Group's Functions & Events team is growing, and we're looking for experienced Event Managers and Event Supervisors to lead the delivery of exceptional events across some of Melbourne's most distinctive venues.From weddings and private celebrations to corporate functions, cocktail parties and large-scale events, you'll have the opportunity to work across Higher Ground, The Terrace and The Observatory at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, as well as events throughout the wider Darling Group portfolio.This is a hands-on leadership role for hospitality professionals who love being on the floor, leading a team and making sure every detail comes together.You'll be the person leading the room — briefing the team, coordinating service, liaising with clients and chefs, troubleshooting in real time and ensuring every event is delivered to an exceptional standard.Casual and part-time positions availableFlexible event-based shiftsEvening and weekend work availableWork across multiple premium Melbourne venuesOpportunities to grow within the wider Darling GroupThe RoleAs an Event Manager or Supervisor, you'll take ownership of the on-the-day delivery of functions and events.Depending on the size of the event, you may lead the entire function or work alongside a senior Event Manager as part of a larger team.Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing event orders,



run sheets and service requirementsManaging event set-up and ensuring the venue is presentation-readyConducting pre-service briefings and allocating team responsibilitiesLeading teams of event waitstaff and bartenders throughout serviceCoordinating food and beverage timing with chefs, kitchen and bar teamsActing as a key point of contact for clients and event hostsManaging guest requests and resolving issues quickly and professionallyMaintaining exceptional service and presentation standards throughout the eventOverseeing beverage service and RSA complianceManaging room resets, event transitions and pack-downCompleting event close and operational handoversAbove all, you'll set the tone for the team and make sure both our guests and clients feel that their event is in capable hands.About YouWe're looking for confident hospitality leaders who know how to run a great service and enjoy the energy of events.You'll ideally have:Previous experience supervising or managing functions, events, weddings, banquets or high-volume hospitalityExperience leading and motivating hospitality teams during serviceStrong food and beverage knowledgeConfidence managing event timelines and service flowExcellent communication and client-facing skillsA polished, professional and guest-focused approachThe ability to remain calm and make decisions in a rapid-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and high presentation standardsAvailability to work evenings and weekends,
