About the roleTeam Global Express is currently seeking an experienced Linehaul Driver to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity.This role involves completing scheduled linehaul movements across regional Queensland, ensuring freight is transported safely, efficiently and in line with service commitments.
The position is primarily overnight work, with typical start times in the afternoon or late evening.
Drivers are paid a competitive combination of kilometre and hourly rates.Key responsibilitiesCompleting scheduled linehaul runs across regional QueenslandSafely operating MC combination vehicles across metropolitan, regional and highway networksEnsuring freight is delivered in accordance with service schedules and operational requirementsConducting comprehensive pre-start, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspectionsPerforming trailer changeovers, coupling and uncoupling activities where requiredEnsuring freight is correctly loaded, restrained and transported in accordance with load restraint requirementsMaintaining compliance with BFM accreditation, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility obligationsMonitoring vehicle performance and reporting defects or maintenance concerns promptlyAccurately completing manifests, trip paperwork and compliance documentationCommunicating effectively with Fleet Controllers and Operations teams throughout each journeyReporting hazards, incidents and near misses in a timely mannerFollowing all company policies, procedures and safe work practicesWhat you'll bringCurrent and valid MC LicenceBFM accreditation preferredPrevious linehaul or long-distance driving experienceSound knowledge of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirementsAbility to work overnight and manage extended regional runsStrong commitment to safety,
