Softchoice, a World Wide Technology company, supports commercial and SMB markets in the U.S. and Canada.About the roleThe Sales Operations Lead provides dedicated sales and commercial operations support for WWT's Western Australia customers.
The role owns the day-to-day operational lifecycle from quote through purchase order, fulfilment, invoicing and cash collection, coordinating across customers, WWT and our OEM, distributor and supply chain partners.You'll ensure complex, high-volume transactions are progressed accurately and at pace, with clear ownership,
customer reporting and alignment to manufacturer lead times and delivery schedules.
You'll work closely with WWT's Western Australian team, the ISR, buyer, AP/AR, sales, finance and supply chain teams to provide a seamless quote-to-cash experience.Operational excellenceOwn and coordinate the end-to-end quote-to-cash process for Western Australia, from quote creation through PO receipt, ordering, fulfilment, invoicing and paymentCoordinate quote and PO timing against OEM manufacturing lead times and customer requirements to reduce the risk of schedule slippageWork directly with OEMs, distributors and WWT supply chain teams to track availability, lead times, order status, logistics and delivery dependenciesCoordinate payment-term alignment and work with AP/AR and finance teams to ensure supplier and customer payment milestones are understood and metIdentify operational risks, gaps or delays early and drive them to resolution across the relevant internal and external teamsBuild repeatable processes, trackers and reporting that can scale with the volume and complexity of WWT's customersContinuously improve the customer experience by simplifying hand-offs, increasing visibility and ensuring clear accountability from quote through cashBusiness intelligence and financial reportingMaintain a single operational view of all active opportunities, quotes, purchase orders, orders, invoices and payment statusTrack commercial milestones, payment terms and dependencies across OEMs and distributors, escalating risks before they impact deliveryProvide accurate weekly and ad hoc reporting on quote, PO, order, shipment, invoice and payment statusSupport account forecasting and reporting by maintaining accurate operational and commercial dataClient cadence and internal reportingAct as the day-to-day operational peer to WWT's customer Procurement leads and a central point of coordination for commercial and order activityOwn the operational cadence with WWT's customers, providing clear status reporting, actions, risks and dependenciesCoordinate internally with WWT's ISR, buyer, AP/AR, sales,
finance and supply chain teams to ensure actions are completed at the right timeMaintain clear ownership and escalation of outstanding actions across the end-to-end supply chainOnboarding, training and complianceCoordinate customer, OEM and distributor onboarding requirements needed to transact efficientlyEnsure required commercial documentation, approvals and internal processes are completed before key quote, PO, shipment and invoicing milestonesSupport adherence to WWT commercial controls and customer-specific procurement requirementsDocument account-specific processes and ensure relevant teams understand roles, hand-offs and escalation pathsWhat you'll bringA bachelor degree in business, information systems or a related field.
A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of a degree.A minimum of five years' progressive experience in sales operations, commercial operations, order management, supply chain coordination or a related fieldExperience supporting large, complex technology transactions involving multiple OEMs, distributors and internal stakeholdersDemonstrated experience managing quote-to-cash processes, including quoting, purchase orders, order tracking, invoicing and payment coordinationExperience working directly with sales teams, customers, procurement teams, finance, distributors and technology vendorsExperience operating in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volumes, tight deadlines and multiple concurrent prioritiesSkills that set you up for successStrong understanding of sales operations and the end-to-end quote-to-cash lifecycleStrong commercial awareness, including payment terms, purchase orders, invoicing, lead times, logistics and order dependenciesExcellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain control across a large volume of concurrent transactionsAbility to work independently, move quickly, and proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the customer or delivery scheduleStrong stakeholder management skills, coordinating across customers, sales, ISR, buying, AP/AR, finance, OEMs, distributors and supply chain teamsClear written and verbal communication, including concise executive and customer status reportingStrong process discipline with the ability to build scalable workflows, trackers and operating cadencesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets, reporting tools and CRM/order management systems
