Waratah Air-Conditioning Services is looking for an experienced installer to step into an Installation Supervisor role with genuine responsibility, strong operational support and the opportunity to help shape the way our installation team operates.
This is not simply another installer position with a different title.
You will take ownership of installation projects, coordinate the team on site, maintain our quality standards and ensure each job is completed safely, professionally and efficiently.
You will remain involved in installation work when your technical experience is required, but your primary focus will be leading the team and ensuring jobs are properly planned, coordinated and completed.

About the role
As our Installation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing air-conditioning installation projects from commencement through to completion.




Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising residential and light commercial air-conditioning installations
Leading installers, apprentices and subcontractors on site
Planning labour, materials and daily installation activities
Reviewing plans, specifications and site requirements before work commences
Ensuring installations are completed to Waratah Air's workmanship standards
Monitoring job progress and keeping projects on schedule
Identifying installation issues early and implementing practical solutions
Coordinating with customers, builders, suppliers, other trades and our office team
Ensuring the team complies with safety, licensing and regulatory requirements
Checking completed installations and associated documentation
Providing technical guidance and on-the-job development to team members
Maintaining a professional and organised worksite
Remaining hands-on when your experience is required
Reporting on job progress, variations, issues and completion
About you
You will be an experienced air-conditioning installer who takes pride in producing quality work and helping jobs run smoothly.
You may already hold a formal supervisory or leading-hand position, or you may be the senior installer others naturally turn to when they need guidance or a difficult problem resolved.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Extensive air-conditioning installation experience
Experience with a range of split, multi-split and ducted air-conditioning systems
Previous supervisory, leading-hand or senior installer experience an advantage
Strong technical knowledge and practical problem-solving ability
The confidence to lead a team and make sound decisions on site
The ability to plan labour, materials and installation activities




High standards of workmanship, safety and presentation
The ability to read plans, technical specifications and wiring diagrams
Clear and professional communication skills
Good organisation and time-management skills
The ability to communicate professionally with customers and other trades
A current driver's licence and white card
Relevant air-conditioning, refrigeration and electrical qualifications or licences
A commitment to developing apprentices and less‐experienced installers
Most importantly, you will be someone who takes ownership of their work, supports the people around them and wants to be part of a professional team.
