The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Community Services, the Community Wellbeing & Transport Officer is responsible for supporting residents of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters who are eligible for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), including individuals aged 65 years and over.
The role is responsible for coordinating the Community Bus Service and a range of social programs, including Lunch at the Pub, Excursions, and Strength and Balance activities.
As the Community Bus Service is supported by a team of volunteers, including Community Bus Drivers and Helpers,



this position also plays a vital role in coordinating volunteers' day-to-day activities and providing ongoing support to ensure effective service delivery.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and caring team player who takes pride in their work and is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of older people in our community.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to respond to enquiries, provide clear information and resolve concerns effectively.
Experience supporting older people to access services, including assisting residents to navigate and connect with My Aged Care.
Robust organisational and coordination skills.
Experience working with and supporting volunteers.
Experience in co-ordinating Social Programs.
Experience coordinating or supporting the delivery of community transport services.
A minimum of 12 months' experience in aged care or a similar community services setting.
A current Class C Driver's Licence.
The confidence to drive a larger vehicle (i.e. an automatic 12-seater minibus).
