This is a full-time position based in Brisbane QLD ****.
As Hospitality Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our hospitality business, ensuring accurate records, timely bookkeeping processes, and reliable financial information to support management decision-making.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic hospitality environment.Key responsibilitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and financial records for the hospitality businessProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment reconciliationPerform bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure all transactions are accurately recordedAssist with monthly bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, expense coding, and transaction categorisationPrepare and maintain supporting documentation for audit purposes, ensuring compliance with accounting standardsAssist with the preparation of financial statements and management reportsSupport the payroll process, including timekeeping records and wage-related documentationLiaise with external accountants and auditors as requiredUtilise accounting software and systems to record, process and report financial information accuratelyIdentify and resolve discrepancies and irregularities in financial recordsWhat we're looking forA qualification in bookkeeping, accounting or a related financial discipline (such as Certificate III or IV in Accounting,
