Together, we embody the vision of responsible hospitality.Take the opportunity to become a Heartist®, and let your heart guide you in this world where life beats faster.Job DescriptionTo ensure that all responsible service of alcohol procedures is practiced at all timesTrains and monitors Food & Beverage Team and ensures service standards are metManages all Team Members in all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet, providing the necessary assistance where requiredEnsure Team Members have robust product knowledge of all wine styles on the outlet wine listEnsures that approved service sequences and standards are established and maintained at all timesEnsures that all opening and closing procedures are carried out to an acceptable standard and supervises outletMaintains efficient operating procedures for the outlet's point of sale cashiering computer system, ensuring accuracy and balancing of till and the department cash floatMaintains a high level of cleanliness and care of all equipment and materials; and ensure security of outletHave an understanding of all licensing and operating legislation which affects the department including the Liquor Act.Promptly reports any maintenance work required to the maintenance departmentMaintains all outlet stock levelsPerform monthly stocktakes on all beverage stock and complete timely reporting of stocktake findingsDevelops training plans and conducts on and off the job training sessions for all outlet Team MembersAttends all scheduled food and beverage and other relevant meetings when requiredMonitors outlets manpower, payroll budget, control costs and maximise profitabilityTake extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance and monitors service personnel's appearance and groomingOther duties as may be prescribed from time to time due to operational needsQualificationsProven experience of incremental responsibility within a hotel environment.Proven experience in similar position within a hotelenvironment advantageousExperience supervising, training and motivating staffExperience creating rosters and adhering to wage controlAdditional InformationProven ability to act independently on all matters relating to team and guest safety and wellbeing in the absence of senior managementWell presented with an eye for detail and strong organisational skillsCalm and professional demeanour in all instances, confident in conflict resolution and complaint handlingExcellent time management and communication skills including rapport building between internal and external stakeholdersConfident interpreting and generating reports as well as reviewing daily occupancies to ensure smooth operationsStrong focus and passion for hotel operationsDemonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and inspire teamsTime management skills with the ability to multitaskStrong personal integrityGood interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team membersFlexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to changeRole model in Accor values and Heartist culture.
