The role
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, you'll own our automation strategy end-to-end identifying opportunities, building the business case, and driving projects from concept through to commissioning, on time and within budget.
You'll work hands-on with mechanical machine design, robotics, PLCs and servo systems, while partnering closely with Production, Engineering, Quality/HSE and Maintenance teams.

Identify and scope automation opportunities, and build the business case for investmentLead automation projects from design through to delivery, reporting on milestones and ROIDevelop mechanical machine mechanisms, assemblies and function algorithms; specify and program PLCs,



robots and servos as requiredShape Seeley's broader digital automation transformation strategy in partnership with stakeholdersTrain operators and build internal robotics capability across the site
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation or Electrical Engineering5+ years' experience in automation and robotics, within 7 to 10 years in a manufacturing or operational environmentA proven track record delivering automation projects and developing automation strategyWorking knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, camera systems, AGVs, robots and barcoding technologyStrong stakeholder and senior management reporting skills, with the influence to align automation strategy with business priorities
