Team Leader – Supported Independent Living (SIL)Help In Support is seeking a compassionate and experienced Team Leader – Supported Independent Living (SIL) to join our organisation in Melton, VIC ****.
This is a part time position that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality support services to individuals living independently with assistance.
You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring that clients receive person-centred care that promotes their autonomy, dignity and wellbeing.
This role is pivotal to our mission of enabling people with disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives within their communities.Key responsibilitiesSupervising and mentoring support workers to ensure consistent delivery of quality care and support services to SIL clientsDeveloping and implementing individualised support plans that align with clients' goals and preferences, whilst adhering to disability support standardsManaging rostering, scheduling and workload allocation to ensure appropriate staffing levels and service continuityConducting regular check-ins and reviews with clients to assess their satisfaction, wellbeing and changing support needsProviding direct support to clients when required, including personal care, community integration and life skills developmentMaintaining detailed and accurate client records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirementsLiaising with families, carers,



health professionals and other stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive supportIdentifying and addressing performance issues within the team and providing coaching and development opportunitiesEnsuring compliance with disability support regulations, safeguarding policies and organisational proceduresParticipating in team meetings, training sessions and continuous improvement initiativesWhat we're looking forProven experience working in the disability support or aged care sector, with demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership roleCurrent or willingness to obtain relevant qualifications such as Certificate IV in Disability Support or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and person-centred support principlesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families and staffDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and lead by exampleSound understanding of safeguarding, duty of care and legislative requirements in disability supportCompassion,
