Eden's Excavations & Piling is looking for a switched-on, organised, flexible and proactive Operations Support Officer to join our team at our Epping office.We're a growing business working across excavation, piling and basement construction, and we're looking for someone who wants more than a standard office administration role.This is a wide-ranging position where you'll be right in the middle of our day-to-day operations — coordinating people, plant, machinery, transport, materials, paperwork and site requirements to keep our projects running smoothly.You'll spend time in the office coordinating operations, but you'll also have opportunities to get onsite, see our projects firsthand and work directly with our crews and site teams.You'll also work closely with the directors of Eden's Excavations & Piling, giving you direct exposure to the planning, decision-making and coordination involved in running construction projects and a growing business.The nature of construction and our operations means that flexibility and communication are an important part of this position.
The successful applicant will be expected to be contactable by the directors on most days, with the understanding that there will be occasional calls, texts or emails outside standard working hours when operational matters require attention.Being reliable, responsive and easy to communicate with is essential to this role.What You'll Be DoingYou'll become an important link between our directors, office team, clients, operators, site teams, transport providers and suppliers.Your responsibilities will include:Scheduling people and plant across excavation, piling and basement construction projectsTaking and coordinating new job bookingsAnswering and managing calls from clients,



operators and internal staffResponding to emails and operational requests in a timely mannerWorking closely with the directors to coordinate day-to-day operationsCoordinating machinery and plant requirements for upcoming jobsOrganising and scheduling transport of machinery and plant to and from jobsitesOrganising logistics and materials required by our onsite teamsPreparing and managing job-specific inductions and any other required compliance documentationProviding SWMS and other required documentation to clients and onsite personnelVisiting jobsites to understand project requirements, assist with coordination and develop your knowledge of our operationsHelping identify and resolve logistical issues before they impact the jobAbout YouWe're looking for someone who is:Highly organised, reliable and flexibleA confident communicator who isn't afraid to pick up the phoneComfortable dealing with clients, staff, operators, contractors and suppliersAble to manage multiple tasksResponsive to calls, emails and operational requirementsComfortable with occasional communication outside standard working hoursDetail-oriented, particularly when it comes to paperwork and complianceConfident using computers, email and administrative systemsHappy to get out of the office and onto jobsitesKeen to learn about construction, operations, OHS and safetySomeone who takes pride in getting things organised and making sure the job is ready to goEager to learn directly from experienced industry professionals and take on new challengesIndustry Experience Is a BonusHowever, direct industry experience isn't everything.
