Oakover Grounds is an iconic 45-hectare Swan Valley property, newly reimagined under recent management.
Steeped in history and surrounded by established grounds, and picturesque lake, Oakover brings together great food, craft beverages, weddings, functions and relaxed Swan Valley hospitality.As we continue to open the venue in stages and grow our food and beverage offering, we're looking for a Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team.Oakover Grounds offers a diverse hospitality operation, including:The Barrelhouse – our restaurant and brewery, serving relaxed, quality food alongside our own beer, wine and spirits.The Smokehouse – our casual outdoor offering centered around smoked meats, fire and laid-back dining on the Grounds.Weddings & Functions – catering across our Lakehouse, Barrelhouse and other event spaces, from intimate celebrations through to large-scale weddings and functions.What You'll Be DoingPreparing and delivering consistently high-quality food for weddings, functions, wine tours, and general dining serviceManaging stock controlEnsuring compliance with food safety, hygiene & WHS standardsWorking across multiple kitchens and styles — from elevated pub classics, smokehouse favourites,



and woodfired pizzas to curated grazing menusCollaborating with the wider kitchen team to ensure service runs smoothly and efficientlyMaintaining food safety, cleanliness, and organization in a fast-paced environmentSupporting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs with prep and execution during peak service periods.This role is primarily day time work, Wednesday to Sunday with the exception of evening weddings & functions.Who You AreA qualified chef with proven kitchen experience (min. 3 years preferred) and a minimum Cert 4 in Kitchen Management.Calm under pressure and happy to get stuck in wherever neededPassionate about food quality and presentationReliable, positive, and ready to contribute to a strong team cultureFlexible availability – especially Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, with some weekday prep shifts as required.Unfortunately we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.Who We AreWe bring our whole selves and we deliver together.
