Mindful Learners Family Day Care – Moonee Ponds VICWe are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Family Day Care Coordinator to join our Team at Mindful Learners Family Day Care.
We are a small family-orientated business that endeavour in creating a highly supportive environment for its team.
The service has achieved a Meeting Requirements rating in September ****.The role is initially offered as a casual role with regular weekly hours.
For the right candidate , this role will lead to a permanent Coordinator and educational leader role.The candidate needs to be available Monday to Friday from end of November to end of January.
Hours can be flexibleThe application closes on October 11th.Key Responsibilities:Mentor, train, and provide ongoing professional development for Family Day Care (FDC) educators.Monitor educator practices, ensure adherence to the National Quality Framework (NQF) , Family Assistance Law and maintain high standards of child safety, health, and education.Assist educators in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for children and work in collaboration with the NSO and director to achieve QIP goalsCommunicate with families, address concerns, and build strong relationships.Manage record-keeping, guideline implementation, and day-to-day operations.Ensure a secure, healthy,



and stimulating home-based environment for children.Core Duties:Conducting home visits to provide hands-on support.Contribute to the development and updating service policies and procedures.Recruiting and vetting potential educators.Monitoring educator portfolios and performance.Supporting the service and the educators in ensuring that children are central to our practice and operationsOrganizing training and professional learning opportunities.Be an advocate for inclusive practices and providing equitable opportunities to children.Key Skills & Qualifications:Diploma-level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
Current Asthma and anaphylaxis certificate and CPR (early childhood)A police check within the last 6 monthsChild Protection CertificateNational Child Safety Certificate Foundation 1 and 2Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication and people skillsBe a team playerNeed to have a valid driver's licence and a car is preferableAbove all, a genuine passion for early children and be the champion of every child!
Thorough knowledge of the ECEC National Laws and Regulations and Family Assistance LawKnowledge of CCS software highly desiredAt least 2 years' experience as a family day care coordinator is highly desirable or equivalent experience in long day care settings will be consideredWhat do we offer?
