genU is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Support Worker to join the team.
You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities and requiring mental health support, as they make the transition from hospital to home.
Please review the roster included to ensure you can work the shifts before applying
Support person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them;
Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
Administration duties and mandatory reporting
What you'll bring
Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours- essential;An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration;Significant personal or Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;Cert III Individual Support or higher (or working towards one)A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
