Summary of Role
Performing hourly quality checks on moulded plastic parts.
Conducting work in a safe manner and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork and innovation.
Maintains a high level of cleanliness in the department.
Maintaining enough raw material plastic for their shift and part of the next shift.
Specific Responsibilites
Performs hourly quality checks according to the relevant production form
Maintains enough raw material on all jobs for their shift and into the next shift
Make sure any material, including masterbatch is available for any changes on the shift.
Participate in toolbox meetings / daily safety – quality whiteboard meetings
Completes all relevant paperwork for hourly checks and raw material
Basic troubleshooting for plastic parts which do not meet specifications on the hourly checklist
Maintains a clean department according to the Moulding Cleaning Checklist

Job Environment – The position is located at Bayswater
Working hours – 38 hrs per week
Education Level Vocational/TAFE
Essential Experience
On the job training provided
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and skills
Ability to read and write English
Valuable verbal communication skills.
Excellent team working, organisational and time management skills.
Good understanding of company organization and structure, familiarity with relevant SDI policies and procedures and knowledge of day to day operation and terminology.
