About the Role

This role combines strong technical accounting expertise withcommercial acumen to provide financial insights that supportoperational and strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, youwill lead key financial processes, support business performance,ensure compliance with accounting standards and
governancerequirements,
and contribute to continuous
improvementinitiatives.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to interpret and applyAustralian Accounting Standards while balancing operational andcommercial outcomes. You will communicate financial and
governancerequirements
to non-financial stakeholders, translating complexaccounting concepts into practical business advice that supportsinformed decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Partner with operational leaders to deliver
financialreporting,
analysis, insights, and recommendations that supportinformed business decisions.
n
Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, andperformance review processes across assigned portfolios.
n
Identify profitability drivers, business risks, andopportunities to improve financial and
operationalperformance.
n
Provide financial and commercial support for strategicdecision-making, including financial modelling, business casedevelopment, scenario analysis, tenders, pricing reviews, andcontract management activities.
n
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financialcontrols, and governance requirements while
balancingoperational
and commercial needs.
n
Communicate accounting requirements and financial impactsto operational stakeholders in a clear and practicalmanner.
n
Support audit activities, balance sheet
reconciliations,and
financial investigations.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhancefinancial processes, reporting, and controls.
n
Provide leadership and development support to the CostController.
n
Contribute to ad hoc projects and other activities asrequired to support business objectives.
n

What You'll Bring
n
Essential
n
n
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or arelated discipline.
n
CPA or CA qualification or currently working towardscompletion.
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in management
accounting,commercial
finance, financial analysis, or finance businesspartnering roles.
n
Demonstrated experience in budgeting,
forecasting,financial
reporting, performance management, and businessanalysis.
n
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identifyrisks, opportunities, and performance
improvementinitiatives.
n




Advanced financial modelling, business case development,and Microsoft Excel skills.
n
Strong understanding of Australian Accounting
Standards,financial
governance, and internal controls.
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, andrelationship management skills, with the ability to explaintechnical accounting concepts and translate
financialinformation
into practical business insights for non-
financialstakeholders.
n
Proven ability to influence decision-making, managecompeting priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a quick-paced environment.
n

Desirable
n
n
Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Commerce,
BusinessAdministration,
or a related discipline.
n
Experience within mining, manufacturing and resourcessector.
n
Experience supporting contract management, tenders, pricingreviews, and commercial agreements.
n
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance andOperations (F&O;) or similar ERP systems.
n
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
