As the Gold Class Manager, you're much more than a venue supervisor. You're the host of one of Brisbane's most premium entertainment experiences.

From welcoming guests into the lounge with genuine warmth, to leading a high-performing team delivering exceptional food & beverage service, you'll be responsible for creating memorable moments that keep guests coming back. Every shift is about bringing together luxury cinema, hospitality excellence, and a fun, energetic team culture.

You'll lead from the front, coaching your team to deliver outstanding service while ensuring the Gold Class operation runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Whether it's a sold-out blockbuster premiere, an exclusive corporate event, or a date night experience, you'll ensure every guest feels like a VIP.

This is a full-time position, working across the cinema operating week with a mixture of day and night shifts on a set rotational roster. Some week shifts are required.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Be the face of Gold Class and ensure every guest receives warm, personalised and memorable service.

Lead the team in delivering a premium cinema and dining experience that consistently exceeds expectations.

Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care, turning challenges into positive outcomes.

Create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued from arrival to departure.

Leading, Coaching & Inspiring the Team
n

Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, positivity and teamwork.

Train,



coach and develop Gold Class team members to build service confidence and operational excellence.

Recognise and celebrate individual and team achievements.
n
Support performance conversations and career development pathways in partnership with the leadership team.
n
Ensure all training, compliance and operational standards are consistently maintained.

Operational Excellence
n
n
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Gold Class lounge, kitchen, bar and service areas.
n
Ensure presentation standards are always guest-ready and reflective of a premium brand.
n
Manage opening and closing procedures, equipment checks, audits and operational compliance requirements.
n
Maintain food safety, hygiene and responsible service standards.
n
Ensure stock levels, ordering, deliveries and supplier relationships are managed effectively.
n
Support the successful delivery of events, promotions and special experiences.
n

Driving Business Performance
n
n
Maximise food and beverage sales through exceptional service and product knowledge.
n
Monitor stock control, wastage, COGS and inventory performance.
n
Assist in achieving revenue, guest satisfaction and profitability targets.
n
Analyse operational opportunities and implement improvements that drive results.
n
Ensure accurate reporting, cash handling and financial processes are followed.
n

Community & Brand Engagement
n
n
Support local marketing initiatives and national campaigns.
n
Create excitement around new menu items, promotions and Gold Class experiences.
n




Represent Event Cinemas' values through every guest interaction.
n
Build strong relationships that contribute to guest loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.

What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for someone who brings a balance of hospitality expertise, operational know-how and people leadership.
n
You'll likely have:
n
n
Previous leadership experience in hospitality, food & beverage, cafés, restaurants, hotels or entertainment venues.
n
A passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
n
The ability to stay calm under pressure while leading a busy team.
n
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
n
Sound commercial awareness and attention to detail.
n
RSA certification and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
n
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine love of people.
