About You:
n
We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our swim school on a casual basis.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Deliver engaging, level-appropriate swim lessons in accordance with the BBC LTS curriculum and industry best practices.
n
Provide clear feedback and progression reports to parents and guardians.
n
Always maintain a vigilant and proactive approach to swimmer safety.
n
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture within the Aquatic Centre.
n
Support the continuous improvement of the LTS curriculum by providing feedback to the LTS Coordinator.
n
Assist in special events (e.g., Swim Carnivals, Holiday Intensives, or Parent Feedback Sessions) when required.
n
Represent Brisbane Boys' College with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
n
Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate swimmers aged 3-12 years.
n
Strong understanding of stroke development and correction techniques
n




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents
n
Proven ability to work independently and within a team workplace
n
AUSTSWIM Certification Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or equivalent
n
Current CPR Certificate
n
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
n
Current First Aid Certificate
n
n
Highly Regarded:
n
n
Experience working within a school or community aquatic setting
n
Familiarity with swim school software
n
Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for swimmers with additional needs
n
AUSTSWIM Certification Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics (INF)
n
AUSTSWIM Certification Teacher of Competitive Strokes (TCS)
n
AUSTSWIM Certification Teacher of Access and Inclusion (TAI)
n
Coaching or education background, especially in physical education or childhood.
n
