Yard position available with an established and trusted recycling business in Osborne Park.

Our client is a well-established recycling business specialising in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal and is looking for reliable, hardworking people to join their team.
n
We are seeking a Yard Hand, to assist with the day-to-day operation of the yard, including scrap metal handling, customer assistance, and machinery operation.
n
Full-Time Yard Hand

This position would suit someone looking for stable, ongoing full-time employment in a hands-on yard environment.
n
Please Note – This Is a Physical, Hands-On Role
n
All successful applicants will be required to assist with general yard duties, including sorting, handling and moving scrap metal and other physical tasks as required.
n
Applicants must therefore be physically capable of performing manual and general yard work, and being on their feet for periods of the day.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Welcome and assist customers and visitors to the yard in a professional and courteous manner.
n
Sort and grade various types of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal.




n
Assist with loading, unloading, moving and handling scrap metal and other materials.
n
Operate forklifts and other yard machinery safely.
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
n
Work cooperatively with the existing team to ensure the smooth running of daily yard operations.
n
What We're Looking For

Reliable, punctual and dependable.
n
Physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual work.
n
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
n
Basic computer skills and ability to complete digital forms/logs.
n
Previous experience in scrap metal, recycling, warehousing, transport or a similar workplace would be an advantage, but is not essential.
n
Valid HR Licence – desirable but not essential.
n
Valid Forklift Licence – desirable but not essential.
