Job Description
You'll install and commission solar, battery and hybrid systems, mainly PowerBay products, for residential and commercial customers. Jobs include grid-connected solar, battery retrofits, off-grid systems and inverter replacements. You'll also handle insurance work, including make-safes, site inspections, damage assessments and reports, and replacement of storm-damaged or faulty systems. Work is dispatched from our Parkinson base, with most jobs across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, plus occasional regional work. A company vehicle is provided. You'll work to high standards, represent Envision Energy professionally on site, and make sure every customer gets a system that works as designed from day one.

Key responsibilities

Install and commission PowerBay solar, battery and hybrid inverter systems
n
Complete battery retrofits, inverter replacements and off-grid installs, including generator changeover switches where required
n
Attend insurance make-safes, isolating and securing damaged solar and battery systems to make sites safe
n
Carry out insurance site inspections, assess damage or faults, and determine the cause and scope of repairs
n
Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports with photos, findings and recommendations for insurers
n
Complete insurance repairs and replacements of damaged or faulty systems
n
Carry out switchboard upgrades and associated electrical work
n
Install EV chargers as required
n
Complete all compliance paperwork, testing and certificates accurately and on time
n
Communicate professionally with customers on site and explain how their system works at handover

About you

Current Queensland electrical licence (unrestricted)
n
Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation for grid-connect design and install, with battery endorsement (or working towards it)
n
Solar and battery installation experience
n
Efficient and organised on site, able to complete standard solar and battery installs in a single day
n
Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to write transparent, professional reports
n
Working at heights ticket and White Card
n
Current driver's licence
n
Based within commuting distance of Parkinson, and happy to travel for jobs across South East Queensland and regional areas when required
