Job Description
Our client is a well-established national food manufacturer producing fresh products for leading retail and foodservice customers.

This is a senior site role for someone who is comfortable on the production floor and in the audit room. You will lead a small quality team and work alongside site operations every day, with support from the national technical function.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Leading, coaching and developing the site quality team.
n
Chairing the site HACCP team and running the monthly quality meeting.
n
Delivering food safety training on site and keeping training records up to date.
n
Working closely with production leaders to resolve quality issues quickly and put effective corrective actions in place.
n
Audits and compliance
n
Preparing for and hosting certification and customer audits.
n
Running the internal audit program to schedule.
n
Making sure calibration, verification and monitoring activities are completed on time.
n
Reviewing product and environmental testing results and acting on any trends or non-conformances.
n
Specifications,



suppliers and complaints
n
Keeping product specifications and recipe documentation accurate and current.
n
Managing the site's approved supplier program.
n
Investigating customer and consumer complaints and product rejections through to close-out.
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
A tertiary qualification in food science, food technology or a related discipline.
n
At least three years in a quality role in food manufacturing. Experience with protein or meat products is highly regarded.
n
Sound knowledge of HACCP and GFSI-benchmarked certification standards.
n
Confidence interpreting data and explaining it to people at all levels.
n
The ability to lead a team and influence production staff without direct authority.
n
Sound judgement, good organisation and explicit written communication.
n

Hours
n
Monday to Friday, with occasional extra hours around audits.
n
