Our client, a reputable law firm in Queenstown, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Civil Litigation. This role is vital in supporting the litigation team by managing case files, conducting legal research, and assisting with document preparation. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth progression of cases from initiation through to trial or settlement. Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in managing civil litigation caseloads, from initial filing to discovery and trial preparation.
n
Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and legal precedents.
n
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
n
Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and discovery materials systematically.
n
Schedule depositions, client interviews, and court appearances.
n
Communicate with clients,



opposing counsel, and court staff as directed by attorneys.

Prepare trial binders and assist attorneys during court proceedings.

Requirements
n

Relevant legal qualification (e.g., Diploma in Paralegal Studies or LLB).
n
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on civil litigation.
n
Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
n
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
n
Understanding of court rules and procedures.
