COOK & CHEF POSITIONS AVAILABLE – GLENWOOD, NSW

Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.

Assist with daily food preparation, including cutting, portioning, marinating and preparation of ingredients.
n
Ensure food is prepared and cooked safely, consistently and to the required standard.
n
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment and food preparation areas.
n
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
n
Monitor food quality, freshness and portion control.
n
Assist with receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.
n
Work efficiently with other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
n
Minimise food wastage and maintain appropriate stock levels.
n
Assist with menu preparation and other kitchen duties as required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
n
Plan, prepare and cook a range of dishes to a consistently high standard.
n
Coordinate daily kitchen operations and ensure timely preparation of meals.




n
Prepare ingredients, sauces, stocks and other components required for service.
n
Ensure dishes are presented attractively and meet the required quality standards.
n
Maintain consistent portion sizes, recipes and food quality.
n
Monitor food supplies, stock levels and ingredient quality.
n
Assist with ordering and inventory management to ensure adequate kitchen supplies.
n
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
n
Supervise and assist kitchen staff during food preparation and service where required.
n
Train and support junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation and protected work practices.
n
Monitor food costs and minimise wastage where possible.
n
Assist with menu planning, specials and recipe development as required.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
