Motor Mechanic – full time
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Identifying mechanical issues in vehicle engines, systems and components using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
n
Taking apart and removing engines, gearboxes, steering systems and other mechanical assemblies for inspection and repair
n
Examining damaged or faulty parts and carrying out repairs or replacements in line with manufacturer guidelines and workshop procedures
n
Conducting routine vehicle servicing including oil and filter changes, lubrication, tune-ups and general maintenance to maintain vehicle performance and meet emission standards
n
Rebuilding and refitting engines, mechanical assemblies and related components following repair work
n
Testing, calibrating and adjusting repaired mechanical systems to ensure safe and effective operation
n
Using computer-based diagnostic equipment to assess faults and monitor vehicle performance
n
Inspecting vehicles for safety and roadworthiness requirements and preparing reports on repairs or corrective work needed
