The Dairy Ravensbourne Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our hospitality team on a casual basis. Based in Ravensbourne, QLD ****, this role is fundamental to maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen and supporting our chefs in delivering quality meals to our guests. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen operates efficiently, hygienically, and safely whilst maintaining the high standards our guests expect.

What you'll be doing

Assisting chefs with food preparation and cooking tasks as directed
n
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans and utensils
n
Clearing and organising workstations to ensure an efficient kitchen environment
n
Managing waste disposal in accordance with health and safety regulations
n
Stocking shelves and storage areas with dry goods, ingredients and kitchen supplies
n
Following all food safety and kitchen safety procedures
n
Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
n
Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow
n

A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety

The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
n
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
n
Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items safely
n
Reliability and punctuality, particularly important in a casual role
n
A willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
n
Preferably, previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hospitality setting, though training will be provided to the right candidate
n
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
n
