An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Specialist Occupational Hygiene Advisor to join our Health, Safety and Environment team based in Milton, Brisbane.
This corporate role will provide specialist occupational hygiene support across multiple mining and civil operations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and best practice occupational health standards.
About the Role Reporting to the SHE Manager (Occupational Health and Hygiene), you will act as the organisation's subject matter expert in occupational hygiene, partnering closely with operational sites, leaders and external service providers to identify, assess and manage occupational health hazards.
You will play a key role in developing, monitoring and continuously improving Golding's occupational hygiene programs and systems across the business.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development and review of risk-based occupational hygiene management plans Manage occupational hygiene exposure monitoring programs, maintaining compliance with management plans, legislative requirements and industry standards.
Provide specialist occupational hygiene advice and support across all operations.
Coordinate compliance reporting and analyse occupational hygiene monitoring data and trends and verifying effectiveness of controls.
Maintain accurate occupational hygiene records and monitoring documentation.
Oversee workplace exposure monitoring programs addressing hazards such as dust, noise, vibration, diesel particulate matter and hazardous substances.




Administer and support the Chem Alert system, including user training and system maintenance.
Review and maintain occupational hygiene procedures, standards and associated documentation.
Participate in training, incident investigations and risk assessments related to occupational health and hygiene.
Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders to drive positive worker health outcomes.
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Hygiene, Occupational Health, Health Sciences, Environmental Health or a related discipline.
Experience in occupational hygiene within mining, resources, construction or other high-risk industries.
Robust knowledge of occupational hygiene legislation, standards and industry best practice.
Experience managing hygiene monitoring programs and interpreting exposure monitoring data.
Sound understanding of key workplace health hazards, including dust, silica, noise, vibration, hazardous chemicals and diesel particulate matter.
Experience using chemical management systems such as Chem Alert.
Well-developed analytical, reporting, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A proactive approach to health risk management and continuous improvement.
