Devonport City Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Assets Officer to join our Infrastructure Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in asset management, GIS, infrastructure planning, engineering, or local government.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain practical experience maintaining Council's asset information systems, supporting infrastructure projects, collecting and analysing data, and contributing to the delivery of essential services for our community.
About the Role
Reporting to the Principal Coordinator – Assets & Technical Services, you will provide administrative, technical and analytical support across a broad range of asset management functions.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the maintenance of Council's Asset Register and GIS systems
Collecting,



analysing and maintaining asset condition and performance data
Supporting infrastructure projects and asset reporting activities
Assisting with asset lifecycle planning and condition assessments
Investigating customer requests and stakeholder enquiries
Undertaking field inspections and data collection activities
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within asset management processes and systems.
