Fremantle Foundry & Engineering Co Pty Ltd is looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters, Charge Hands and Site Supervisors to join our marine engineering team in Henderson.

For over 100 years, Fremantle Foundry & Engineering has delivered specialist marine and industrial engineering services, including repair and maintenance works across offshore vessels, tankers, cargo ships and naval vessels.

Working closely with the Marine Manager, you will be involved in the delivery of marine repair and maintenance projects, with responsibilities varying depending on your experience and level of appointment.

Key responsibilities

Depending on the role,



your responsibilities may include:

Carrying out hands-on mechanical fitting, repair and maintenance works
n
Supervising and leading teams across site activities
n
Coordinating daily workloads, priorities and resources
n
Working alongside the team to deliver project requirements
n
Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n
Monitoring workmanship and maintaining quality standards
n
Communicating project progress and site requirements to the Marine Manager
n
Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
n
Promoting a strong safety culture and leading by example
n
n
About you
n
We're looking for people who bring:
n
n
Mechanical fitting trade qualifications and relevant industry experience
n
Experience in marine, ship repair, heavy industrial or a related environment
n
Strong practical mechanical skills and a hands-on approach
n
A commitment to safety, quality and workmanship
n
Good communication and problem-solving skills
n
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
n
For Charge Hand and Site Supervisor positions, previous experience leading or supervising teams will be highly regarded.
n
