ABOUT THE SCHOOL
St Lucy's School is a K-12 School situated in Wahroonga on Sydney's North Shore. The School currently enrols 242 students Including satellite classes and further growth in these classes is anticipated. All students are supported by a dedicated team of teachers, teacher's aides, therapists, and creative artists. St Lucy's caters to a broad range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities (mild to severe), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and sensory impairments.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to work two days per week on a Monday and Tuesday during term-time only. This is a temporary parental leave role due to cease at the end of Term 1, ****.
The role of the Speech Pathologist at St Lucy's School is to support the development of student's communication and language acquisition in all school contexts. They also support the development of student's social engagement and skills. The role assists students to participate in the curriculum to the best of their ability. The Speech Pathologist collaborates closely with the classroom teachers and teacher aides to determine the communication/language needs of the students, to set communication goals, and assess the achievement of those goals.
The Speech Pathologist works in partnership with other members of the St Lucy's Therapy team, including the occupational therapists, and liaises with external speech pathologists working with St Lucy's students.

To be successful for this role, the following experience, skills and attributes are essential.:
Speech Pathology Degree with at least 1 year's clinical experience.
Membership as required by Speech Pathology Australia.
Interest and experience in delivering therapeutic programs to children with disabilities.

Display a high degree of integrity, accountability and efficiency in the carrying out of the duties.
