Operating Wednesday - Sunday, the Kurrajong Hotel will serve lunch and dinner, expanding into breakfast in coming weeks, making it a true hub for locals and visitors alike.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Breakfast Chef / Prep Chef to join our dynamic team in Erskineville, New South Wales. This temporary, casual role is essential for delivering high-quality breakfast dishes that delight our guests. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in hospitality and catering, with a focus on creating delicious and visually appealing meals in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must be available to work Saturday - Tuesday breakfast until lunch.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes to a high standard,



ensuring consistency and quality.
n
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for breakfast service.
n
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations.
n
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure productive service and timely delivery of meals.
n
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure all necessary ingredients are available.
n
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
n

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
n
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
n
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
n
A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential.
