Manna NT Pty Ltd We are looking for experienced dedicated Chef and Cook who is committed to exceeding our customers' expectations whilst leading a skilled and hardworking team. The eligible candidates will be performing the following duties: Chef:
n
n
Prepare all dishes to our high standard consistently.
n
Updating menu accordingly.
n
Following food preparation process.
n
Keeping records of inventory, placing order everyday depending on reservation.
n
Supervising other kitchen staff, make sure all the staff members are following OH&S; and food hygiene rules.
n
Creating weekly roster.
n
Controlling stock level.
n
Offering dishes outside the regular menu to meet customers dietary requirement with existing material.
n
Training other kitchen staff.
n
To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
n
Familiar with operating WOK, 50cm
n
Advanced understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its service
n
5 + years of proven kitchen experience in a fast paced, high-volume environment
n
Qualifications in commercial cookery
n
Cert IV or higher
n
Flexible availability
n
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
n
Effective communication skills
n
Overall knowledge of operations, ordering, stock control and working to budgets
n
Cook:
n
Operating Ovens, Grills, Deep Fryer, Slow Cooker and other cooking equipment.
n




Peeling, Cutting and Chopping food.
n
Marinade and seasoning food during food preparing and cooking.
n
Cooking gravies and sauces by following the in-house recipe.
n
Garnishing dishes.
n
Storing food accordingly.
n
Keeping cool room, freezer and food temperature records.
n
cleaning kitchens, food preparation areas and sculleries.
n
cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants
n
assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking
n
packing food
n
