About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced HSE Advisor to support their operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is critical for ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, delivering training, and investigating incidents to promote a strong safety culture. Your dedication to maintaining the highest HSE standards will be paramount in protecting our workforce and the environment, requiring a consistent on-site presence to effectively manage safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures across operational sites.
n
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
n
Perform risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement control measures.
n
Investigate HSE incidents, near misses, and accidents, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
n




Deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
n
Maintain HSE records and documentation, including emergency response plans.
n

Requirements
n
n
National Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
n
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer/Advisor in the Oil & Gas sector.
n
Knowledge of relevant South African HSE legislation and industry best practices.
n
Certification such as SAMTRAC or NEBOSH is highly advantageous.
n
Experience in developing and delivering safety training.
n
Strong communication, interpersonal, and incident investigation skills .
