Since ****, PLAYFAIR has been contracted by the Australian Commonwealth Government to provide immigration assistance to asylum seekers, refugees, and disadvantaged humanitarian applicants—both onshore and offshore.
About the Role
Full-time role based in our Sydney office, Level 8, 229 Macquarie Street, Sydney, NSW ****
The employee is expected to fulfil the specific duties outlined by the CEO and senior management.
From time to time, these may include any or all of the duties listed below.
Provide comprehensive legal advice and assistance to corporate clients and individuals across a range of visa subclasses.
Assume carriage of a caseload consisting primarily of employer-sponsored, family and skilled visa matters.
Prepare, review and lodge visa applications and other migration-related applications,



including skills assessments and requests for merits review.
Manage the progress of client files from beginning to end.
Liaise with clients, the Department of Home Affairs and external organisations, where appropriate.
Work within established routines, methods and procedures, exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain accurate files in accordance with LEAP Migration Manager protocols.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with Migration Manager is an advantage.
Sound understanding of Australian immigration laws, regulations and visa application processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in litigation and Federal Court matters is highly beneficial.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in regular CPD and related educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in professional organisations.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in immigration law, specifically in employer-sponsored, family and/or skilled visa matters.
