Date posted: 29 September **** Pay: AU$79,****** – AU$85,****** per year Job description: RETAIL MANAGER CHILI SPICE TOOWOOMBA INDIAN GROCERY STORE Location: Toowoomba, QLD Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $79,500 per annum plus superannuation Chili Spice Toowoomba is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business, supervising staff, maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the store.
Key Duties and Responsibilities The Retail Manager will be responsible for: Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
Planning and coordinating store operations to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
Managing stock levels, ordering merchandise and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Monitoring stock movement and implementing appropriate stock control procedures.
Setting and monitoring pricing and promotional activities.
Managing budgets, sales targets and operational costs.
Monitoring sales performance and identifying opportunities to improve business performance.
Recruiting, training, supervising and supporting retail staff.
Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties to team members.
Monitoring employee performance and ensuring appropriate workplace standards are maintained.
Ensuring a high standard of customer service and responding to customer enquiries and complaints.




Maintaining the presentation, cleanliness and overall appearance of the store.
Liaising with suppliers and negotiating or coordinating the supply of products where required.
Ensuring compliance with relevant workplace health and safety, food safety and business procedures.
Preparing and reviewing reports relating to sales, stock, staffing and store performance.
Implementing strategies to improve sales, customer service and overall business performance.
Qualifications and Experience Applicants must have: A relevant AQF Diploma or higher qualification , or an equivalent overseas qualification; and At least 1 year of relevant work experience in retail management or a closely related position.
Applicants must also demonstrate: Strong leadership and staff management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of retail operations and stock control.
Ability to manage budgets, sales targets and operational costs.
Solid organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment.
Ability to supervise, train and motivate employees.
Salary and Employment This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $79,500 plus superannuation .
