Administration Support Officer - Prisoner Monies Location: Ravenhall Support Safer Communities in a purposeful, professional and team-focused Correctional environment Hands-on training and development opportunities .
Full Time Opportunity.
Salary $62,000 to $67,000 plus Superannuation (salary based on experience) About The Opportunity As the Administration Support Officer - Prisoner Monies you will provide essential administrative support for managing prisoner's money accounts as part of the Finance Administration team.
This role ensures all financial transactions and records are handled accurately and in line with organisational, corporate and contractual requirements.
Your Key Impact Areas Process Prisoner pays as recorded in Gateway and maintain ITAS database.
Prepare, balance, and record receipts through an electronic cash book to the bank statement and ledger for the Prisoner Monies Account.
Oversee all matters relating to Prisoner Monies Account and receipt of monies.
Oversee all matters relating to the correct recording of Prisoner Monies in relation to prisoner telephone calls and the verification of same against End of Day Audit Reports.
Manage Prisoner Monies for transfer to other Centres, discharge, and prisoner requests.
Prepare and record payments through ITAS and cash book, as well balancing and reimbursing weekly float.
Handle all telephone inquiries from Unit Managers, prisoner's relatives and other Centres in relation to Prisoner Monies Account matters.
Manage all tasks in a timely manner ensuring internal and external deadlines are met.
Provide relief in all required administrative tasks, including daily filing and archiving of files.
Attend to other duties as directed by the Finance and Administration Manager.
Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures and the Governance, Risk and Compliance Manual.

Proven spreadsheet and keyboard skills.
Ability to understand and apply skills with accounting software package, including applying policies and procedures under a database.
Ability to meet deadlines and impart knowledge of systems, procedures,
and policies to colleagues.
Desirable: Certificate IV in Accounting.
