Job Description As a Dental Assistant, you'll be an significant part of the clinical team, supporting our dentists and making sure our patients receive exceptional care.
Your day will include: Assisting dentists and clinicians during a variety of dental procedures Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring everything is ready to go Setting up and packing down rooms between patients Preparing instruments, materials and equipment Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment Following strict infection control and sterilisation procedures Supporting patients throughout their appointments and helping them feel comfortable Providing a warm and friendly welcome to patients Maintaining clean, organised and well-stocked clinical areas Assisting with stock management and ordering when required Supporting the wider practice team with day-to-day tasks Working closely with clinicians and the wider team to keep the day running smoothly Qualifications We're looking for someone who brings energy, reliability and a great attitude to work every day.
You'll ideally be: Friendly,



approachable and confident with patients Reliable and organised A team player who enjoys working with others Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment Calm under pressure and able to juggle competing priorities Someone who takes pride in their work Keen to learn and develop their dental assisting skills Passionate about providing great patient care Hold a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or be willing to obtain one Previous dental assisting experience is highly regarded , but attitude is just as important.
