We're looking for an AO4 Finance Officer to a QLD State Government team on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible.
The role is ***** hours per week, with extra hours required during busy periods such as Month End, Forecasting and Budgeting.
Location: Brisbane South Contract until June **** Pay Rate: $***** per hour plus 12% Super ASAP Start, Weekly Pay.

You'll work across the finance operations function, with the chance to build your management accounting skills in a hands-on, high-volume setting.
Your Responsibilities: Carry out financial tasks including payment of accounts, invoicing, corporate card management, journals and general debtors Keep detailed, accurate records of transactions using Microsoft Office and Technology One Ensure all activities follow organisational policies, practices and procedures Liaise with officers across other Departments, Corporate and Regions on financial administration policies,



systems and procedures Support the month end process Contribute to improving business processes and practices Support Corporate and Regional initiatives as directed by your manager Promote and model the organisation's values, including safety first, working together, customer focus, taking responsibility and showing initiative About You: Experience in a finance operations role, ideally with exposure to management accounting (month end, journals, forecasting support) Hands-on experience with accounts payable, invoicing, journals and general debtors Working knowledge of Technology One (or a similar ERP) and Microsoft Office Willing to work extra hours in busy periods such as month end Strong communication skills and confident working with stakeholders across the business Agile and proactive, ready to hit the ground running in a high-volume team How to apply: Click "Apply" or contact Perry Flynn at Public Sector People for a confidential chat.
