Long term chance for Boilermakers to join a significant piece of work in the Wollongong region of NSW
I'm looking for qualified Boilermakers to join a mechanical contractor working across BlueScope Steel sites, with the majority of work based at Port Kembla on the Blast Furnace 5 and 6 upgrades.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Boilermaker looking for long-term, ongoing work on a major industrial project.
What's on offer:
$***** per hour + penalties
Long-term, ongoing work available
Work on the BlueScope Blast Furnace 5/6 upgrade
Opportunity to work alongside experienced trades on a large-scale project
Responsibilities
Fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel, plate, and pipework as part of the upgrade
Read and work from engineering drawings and work orders
Cut, shape, and fit plate and steel sections to specification




Carry out repairs and modifications to plant structures and equipment
Work from heights, scaffolds, and in confined spaces as required
Complete isolations, permits, and job cards to site procedures
Work alongside other trades as part of the broader upgrade crew
Follow all BlueScope site safety, environmental, and quality requirements
Licences/Experience Required
Trade qualified Boilermaker
Relevant licences and tickets (e.g. White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, Rigging/Dogging)
Own basic tools
Own PAPR welding shield
Previous heavy industrial or steel plant experience highly regarded
