Position: Chef Position Type : Full-Time Salary : $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Cobram VIC **** Our client is seeking is seeking an experience Chef to join restaurant in Cobram, Victoria.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and cook food according to recipes, menu specifications, and quality standards.
Plan and assist with menu development, including creating new dishes and improving existing menu items.
Ensure meals are presented neatly, consistently, and served within required timeframes.
Monitor food quality, freshness, flavour, presentation, and portion control.
Assist with estimating food requirements and controlling food costs.
Manage stock rotation, minimise food wastage, and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Receive, inspect, and store food supplies in accordance with food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across kitchen areas, equipment, and food preparation areas.
Follow food safety,



workplace health, and hygiene regulations at all times.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Coordinate kitchen operations during service periods to ensure smooth workflow.
Work effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to deliver quality service.
Assist in training and supervising junior kitchen staff where required.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
Work efficiently in a rapid-paced commercial kitchen environment.
Requirements: Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery A minimum of 12 months experience as a Chef Prior experience preparing Indian Cuisine would be highly regarded Be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
