Roadhouse is seeking an experienced Cook to join its food service team.
The successful candidate will prepare and cook a range of roadhouse-style meals and takeaway items while maintaining consistent food quality, portioning, presentation and food safety during daily service.
Location: 16 Duke Street, Jondaryan QLD **** Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus Superannuation Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a range of roadhouse-style meals, takeaway items and other menu offerings in accordance with established recipes and kitchen procedures Inspect ingredients and food products to ensure freshness and appropriate quality Regulate temperatures of grills, fryers,



ovens and other commercial cooking equipment Season food during preparation and cooking to maintain consistent flavour and quality Portion and present meals in accordance with established business standards Prepare food to accommodate dietary requirements and reasonable customer requests where required Monitor ingredient usage and assist with estimating food requirements for daily service Store, handle and rotate food appropriately, including within temperature-controlled storage areas Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, cooking equipment and food storage areas Work collaboratively with other kitchen and service staff to support efficient meal preparation and customer service Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures at all times Candidate Requirements Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related discipline Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen, roadhouse, café, takeaway or similar food service environment Strong knowledge of food preparation and commercial cooking techniques Ability to maintain consistent food quality, portioning and presentation during busy service periods Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling practices Solid teamwork, communication and organisational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced roadside hospitality environment Only candidates currently residing in Australia will be shortlisted How to Apply Please submit your resume outlining your relevant experience and suitability for the position.
