About the role We are looking for an experienced finance leader to lead our finance function and help shape how the College now and into the future.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Risk Officer, the General Manager, Finance provides strategic and operational leadership of the College's finance function across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
You'll lead teams across transactional finance, reporting, investments, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, and make sure our financial governance, compliance and information are strong and trusted.
This is a role for a leader who wants to build capability as much as deliver results.
You'll lead finance transformation work that improves our systems, processes and service, and you'll help leaders across the College make well-informed decisions that support our long-term financial sustainability.
What you will do; • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing finance team, including Finance Business Partners, Investment and Systems Accountants, and Accounts Payable and Receivable • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, controls, treasury, cash flow and month-end processes • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, statutory financial statements and the external audit • Ensure the integrity of investment records, including the RACS Specific Purpose Trust Fund, in line with AASB 9 • Lead the annual budget and forecasting cycle,



financial modelling and business cases • Drive the Finance Business Partnering framework and build financial capability among budget managers • Lead the optimisation of finance systems and processes, with a focus on automation and data integrity • Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Finance Risk leadership team Download Position Description About you You're an experienced finance leader who combines technical depth with a genuine commitment to developing people and partnering with the business.
You'll bring: • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline, • CPA, CA or equivalent • Extensive experience leading finance functions in medium to large organisations • Strong technical accounting, financial control and reporting expertise, including audit, taxation and statutory reporting • Proven experience in investment accounting and fund governance • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills • Experience leading finance transformation, systems improvement and process optimisation • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and high levels of integrity and professional judgement • Experience in the not-for-profit sector, or with ACNC and Charities Services obligations, will be highly regarded.
