La Bufala is an Italian restaurant in Mascot known for its wood-fired pizzas, handmade gnocchi and classic Italian dishes.
We are looking for a Chef to help plan and deliver a consistent, high-quality dining experience across our à la carte and function menus.
The right applicant will be responsible for: Plan and prepare dishes in line with La Bufala's menu and quality standards.
Contribute to menu development, daily specials and function menus.
Prepare and cook pasta, gnocchi, sauces, meat, seafood and other menu items.
Oversee food preparation and presentation during service.
Coordinate kitchen staff to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, ordering and food wastage.
Maintain portion control and assist in managing food costs.




Train and guide kitchen staff in preparation methods and presentation standards.
Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are clean and properly maintained.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
About you: At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef; Robust knowledge of Italian cuisine and kitchen operations; Ability to plan menus and maintain consistent food quality; Experience coordinating kitchen staff during busy services; Good organisational, communication and food safety skills.
