Join our established clinical research site in Wollongong and play a key role in leading site operations and supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our clinical research team in Wollongong, NSW .

/n

The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of Canopy’s Wollongong clinical research site. The role ensures the site operates efficiently, safely, and compliantly, while providing leadership to designated non-clinical staff and supporting study teams in delivering clinical trials to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities /n

Lead day-to-day site operations to support the safe, timely, efficient, and high-quality delivery of clinical trials .

/n

- /n

Oversee participant scheduling, clinic utilisation, and site workflows to ensure operational requirements and agreed expectations are consistently met.

/n

- /n

Ensure equipment, facilities, records, and required registers are maintained, current, compliant, and inspection-ready.

/n

- /n

Maintain site-level compliance with Canopy SOPs, policies, and applicable requirements , ensuring identified gaps are addressed or escalated promptly.

/n

- /n

Monitor and coordinate the timely completion of CAPA, audit findings, and operational actions within agreed timeframes.

/n

- /n

Provide leadership and support to direct reports, ensuring staff have current training,



explicit objectives, and documented development plans .

/n

- /n

Proactively identify, assess, and manage site-level risks, escalating issues appropriately where required.

/n

- /n

Promote a positive workplace culture and contribute to an excellent participant experience .

/n

- /n

Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement across site operations, processes, and service delivery.

About you /n

/n

- /n

Tertiary qualification in healthcare, science, business or a related discipline

/n

- /n

Current ICH-GCP certification

/n

- /n

Working With Children Check where required for the site or duties

/n

- /n

At least 5 years of clinical research experience desirable, including experience as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator/Nurse or in an equivalent senior site role

/n

- /n

Demonstrated experience coordinating people, workflows and competing operational priorities

/n

- /n

Experience supporting clinical research quality, audit readiness, facilities or equipment compliance

/n

- /n

Developing people leadership, coaching and performance-management capability

/n

- /n

Strong operational planning, scheduling and resource-coordination skills

/n

- /n

Sound understanding of ICH-GCP, clinical research site operations and SOP compliance

/n

- /n

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams

/n
