Thisopportunitywouldsuitanearly-careeraccountantoragraduatewithasoundunderstandingofaccountingfundamentalsandawillingnesstolearn. Workingundertheguidanceofthe Finance Manager,youwillgainpracticalexperienceanddevelopyourunderstandingofhowfinancesupportsday-to-daybusinessoperations.

Aboutthe Role

Youwillsupportaccurateandtimelyfinancialreporting,contributetomonth-endactivitiesandhelpprepareinformationusedtounderstandbusinessperformance. Asyourskillsdevelop,youwillprogressivelytakeownershipofassignedresponsibilities.

- Assistwithmonthlyjournals,includingaccruals,prepaymentsanddepreciation,andmaintainsupportingschedules.
- Preparegeneralledgerandbalancesheetreconciliations,investigatedifferencesandescalatemattersrequiringfurtherreview.
- Supportmonthlyprofitandloss,balancesheet,cashflowandmanagementreporting,checkinginformationforaccuracyandcompleteness.
- Assistwithinventory,manufacturingcostandcost-centrereporting,includingreviewingmovements,allocationsandvariances.




- Contributetoannualbudgetsandperiodicforecastsbygatheringinformation,maintainingtemplatesandpreparingsupportinganalysis.
- Prepareschedulesandreconciliationstosupporttaxcompliance,year-endreportingandexternalaudits.
- Workwithfinanceandoperationalcolleaguestoclarifytransactionsandobtainsupportinginformation.
- Participateinimprovementstofinancesystems,processesanddataqualitywhilefollowinginternalcontrolsandreportingdeadlines.

- Relevantaccountingorfinanceexperienceisdesirable,ideallygainedwithinthefirsttwoyearsofyourcareer. Graduateswithsuitableacademicorpracticalexperiencearealsoencouragedtoapply.
- Abasicunderstandingofjournals,accruals,reconciliationsandfinancialstatements.
- Aninterestinmanagementaccounting,manufacturingcostsandcommercialfinance.
- Goodworkingknowledgeof Microsoft Excelandother Microsoft Officeapplications.
- Strongattentiontodetail,numericalabilityandproblem-solvingskills.
- Anorganisedapproach,withtheabilitytomeetdeadlinesandmanagecompetingprioritieswithguidance.
- Clearcommunicationskillsandacollaborativeapproachtoworkingwithfinanceandnon-financecolleagues.
