About the Role

/n As a Bus Driver at Metro,you’llhelp keep Tasmania moving-safely, reliably, and with care. You’lltransport passengers to work, school, appointments, and community activities, playing a vital role in everyday life across the state.

/n

Youdon’tneedpreviousbus driving experience. If you can safely drive a car,we’llteach you the rest. Our six-week paid training program is designed to build confidence gradually, with hands-on support, transparent expectations, and experienced mentors. You’llgraduate with a Medium Rigid (Metro-specific) licence and receive ongoing guidance onceyou’reon the road.

You’llnever be left to figure things out alone. Our drivers are supported by clear safety procedures, strong fatigue management, modern buses, and supervisors who encourage questions and prioritise wellbeing.

Skills, Experience and What We’re Looking For

- Current full Australian driver’s licence (held for at least 12 months)

/n

- Full working rights in Australia

/n

- Hold or have already applied for Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania)

- Strong commitment to safety,professionalismand respectful customer service

/n

/n

We value skills gained from many backgrounds, including customer service, care roles, hospitality, retail, communityworkand people returning to the workforce.

What We’ll Take Care Of

- National Police Check

- Pre-employmentmedical assessment including Drug and Alcohol testing

- Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) licence
