Do you enjoy solving problems, supporting people and getting the most out of technology?

Based at Council’s Portland Office, we’re looking for an Information Systems Officer to join our Information Technology team and play a key role in supporting the systems and services that keep Council running.

No two days will be the same. You’ll work across the helpdesk, support staff, maintain Microsoft 365 and technology systems, support Council applications, develop reports and contribute to technology projects — giving you the opportunity to build your skills across a broad range of IT and information services.

What you need to Succeed

You’ll enjoy figuring things out,



helping people and making technology work for people and the organisation. You’ll be comfortable moving between day-to-day support and longer-term projects, and you won’t be afraid to get stuck in.

- A solid understanding of IT, information systems and Microsoft 365.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to explain technology clearly.
- Good organisation and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Attention to detail when managing systems, data and documentation.
- Initiative, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Experience with managing and supporting an IT helpdesk.
- Experience in system administration, information systems, corporate reporting will be highly regarded.
