What you will do
As Supervisor, Civil Warrants Assurance Team, you will oversee civil warrants across Victoria.
You will guide warrant work, support sheriff's officers and manage complex matters.
You will:
- review civil warrants against court, infringement and other records to ensure accurate and lawful execution
- coordinate possession orders, warrants, payments and records, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- conduct complex investigations, identify risks and report breaches of legislation and internal processes
- provide clear advice and handle sensitive issues with tact, sound judgement and discretion
- lead daily work, manage safety and quality, and support consistent service delivery
About you
You need a Certificate IV in Court Operations (Compliance) or equivalent experience and a current Victorian driver licence. You must also hold a current Bailiff title appointed by the Sheriff of Victoria.
You should also have:
- current operational experience in Victorian Sheriff's Operations, including civil and criminal warrant execution
- solid knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Sheriff's Act 2009 and Fines Reform Act 2014
- sound judgement, problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations with care
- clear communication skills, inclusive leadership and confidence working across varied teams and situations
- high-level attention to detail,
strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a diverse stakeholder group
- proficient in the use of Office 365, including but not limited to Outlook, SharePoint and MS Teams
