About the role

The Manager of the Link-Up Program provides management and leadership to the Congress Link-Up Service and Territories Redress Scheme.

The position is responsible for the delivery and program management of these programs and works collaboratively with our National Link-Up Services when family tracing and research extends to other States and Territories. In addition to this the Manager and the team is required to take on the lead role in Congress supporting Stolen Generation Members within Central Australia and the Barley region.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

- Is of Aboriginal descent; identifies as an Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
- Tertiary qualification in the Social Services field, or extensive experience in a relevant area of work demonstrating involvement in leadership and management, with a willingness to undertake further training in management if required.
- Demonstrated experience providing client focused case management practices including research, information seeking and assessment skills, applicable to Aboriginal people and a demonstrated understanding of the history and impacts of the forcible removal of Aboriginal children, and knowledge of the social and emotional wellbeing needs or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;
- Demonstrated experience in program management and supervising a team,



including the ability to build and lead a professional work unit and effectively prioritise and delegate tasks, managing budgets, writing reports.
- Ability to identify blockages and barriers to service delivery and apply strategies that overcome those blockages.
- Ability to establish, develop and maintain a network of diverse stakeholders to enhance service delivery and referral pathways for clients.
- Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
- Current Drivers License.
