Your current role:

As a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you will provide high-quality specialist clinical care to patients presenting to the Logan Emergency Department while providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to patient flow, education, research, clinical governance and continuous improvement across the department.

- Lead and supervise Registrars, Principal House Officers and Resident Medical Officers.
- Contribute to patient flow, clinical handover, transfers and multidisciplinary care.
- Participate in education, research, clinical audits and service improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the Emergency Department on-call roster and clinical meetings.

About you:

You are an experienced Emergency Medicine specialist who brings strong clinical judgement, leadership capability and a commitment to delivering safe, person-centred care. You will be confident working in a complex emergency environment and supporting the development of colleagues through supervision, education and collaborative practice.

- Fellowship of the Australian College for Emergency Medicine, or equivalent.
- Specialist registration, or eligibility for registration, with AHPRA.
- Strong specialist knowledge and sound clinical decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical and service improvement.
- Commitment to patient safety, human factors and evidence-based practice.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
