About the role:

As a Solution Architect, you will lead the development of end to end fit for purpose solution architectures (including design, scope and implementation) across the Portfolio Plan programs and projects of eHealth Queensland.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure system requirements are sufficiently captured to drive the architecting of a solution that fully meets the needs and expectations of system stakeholders.
- Identify and assess the implications of applicable Queensland Health, whole-of-government and industry related policies, standards and any other constraints (including funding and schedule) that impact architectural decision-making and ensure these are appropriately reflected in the solution architecture by evaluating and undertaking an impact analysis on major architectural options and assess associated risks and issues, ensuring that the solution architecture balances function, service, quality and system management requirements.
- Consult, negotiate and communicate with system stakeholders and ICT professionals to promote shared and consistent understanding and acceptance of the proposed solution.
- Provide expert advice and communicate solution alternatives, architectural risks, issues and resulting implications.
- Manage project and operational work using project management methodologies to prioritise, organise and implement resource and work schedules by defining the resources and services required to deliver solution architectures.
- Develop comprehensive responses, briefs, submissions,



presentations and reports to guide the development and implementation of solution architecture.
- Promote and ensure that appropriate methods and tools for solution architecture are adopted and used effectively within the program/project ensuring the conducting and documenting of architectural trade-off analysis to support and justify architectural decisions made during the specification of the solution architecture.
- Lead the development of solution architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with and traceability across specified requirements within enterprise architecture and governance frameworks to ensure fit for purpose solutions addressing primarily the specific business problem through each of the architectural domains and their respective views.

Role fit:

You will bring proven expertise in developing and applying solution architecture principles, practices and processes for complex systems within enterprise architecture, ICT investment and governance frameworks. You will be skilled in evaluating architectural options, conducting impact and risk assessments, and designing solutions that balance business functionality, service quality and effective system management. You will also demonstrate the ability to promote consistent use of architecture methodologies and tools, build strong strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, and apply highly developed analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and resolve complex technology challenges in response to business and ICT requirements.
