Job Overview

You will take full ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function across multiple businesses and client accounts, becoming an indispensable part of a fast-moving, growth-oriented services operation. You will hit the ground running by clearing an existing backlog, then transition into a steady rhythm of daily reconciliations, accounts payable management, and compliance-ready record-keeping.

Client Overview

This dynamic services firm operates across business development, consultancy, process automation, and bookkeeping - supporting a growing portfolio of clients in the construction and manufacturing industries. The business manages financial records for both its own entities and a range of external client accounts, making clean, accurate books a core driver of client satisfaction and growth.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, flexible schedule Yeronga Queensland 4104 (20 work hours per week; additional hours may be needed at the start, with weekend work allowed provided tasks are cleared by end of day/week)

Responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable processing across multiple client accounts in Pronto and Xero
- Reconcile transactions accurately and in a timely manner to support weekly and monthly reporting cycles
- Maintain up-to-date financial records across multiple businesses to ensure readiness for accountant reviews, BAS lodgements, and compliance deadlines
- Organize and manage financial documentation within SharePoint for easy client and stakeholder access
- Clear existing bookkeeping backlogs during the onboarding period and transition to ongoing maintenance

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping with proficiency in Xero (certification preferred)




- Familiarity with SharePoint for document management and collaboration
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and meet end-of-day deadlines consistently

Qualifications

- Bonus if you have prior experience with Pronto accounting software
- It helps if you have worked with clients in the construction or manufacturing industries
- Bonus if you have hands-on experience preparing or supporting BAS lodgements under Australian tax requirements
